5 Great Inspirational Resources for Bullet Journaling

In my previous post about creative planners, I mentioned about the Bullet Journal and how possible it is for use in creative planning. But outside of the planner community, very few people know and understand how Bullet Journaling actually works and how it could transform someone’s planning or organizing life.  

Now, I’m not saying that I am the expert at Bullet Journaling. The fact is, I am still getting the hang of it, after coming to know about it a few years back. Since then, there has been a lot of changes and creative commotion that the community has contributed to making it to what it is right now – more understandable and personalized yet really fun to look at. It is now so easy to find and customize a planner that fits every lifestyle possible, setting up Bullet Journaling a suitable choice both for minimalists and creative extravagates.

So for those of you, like me, who find it hard to get creative and start a Bullet Journal System in a notebook, I have done the research for you. I have gathered here the best Bullet Journaling websites or blogs that are not only inspirational but provides step by step guide on how to customize the system to your own liking and not get lost in the woods doing so.

• BulletJournal.com – Of course, we can’t go past this. As the designer of this customizable organization system,  Ryder Carroll has already compiled the how-tos on this website, as well as links to helpful blogs in the community. I think it’s fair to say, that everyone has to go back to this site to be reminded of the original backbone of Bullet Journaling. Getting Started is not that hard as you might think it is. • TinyRayofSunshine.com – Kim of Tiny Ray of Sunshine has created a downloadable guide for bullet journaling available free for the use of the people in the planner community. This whole site is perfect for beginners as she has provided minimalistic approaches for bullet journaling that are easy to follow and equally interesting to read. If you are not into doodling and sketching and are more on the organization benefits of bullet journaling, this is your go-to blog. Aside from that, she offers some challenges to keep the ball rollin’ like #BulletJournalChallenge and #RockyourHandWriting. • DecadeThirty.com – Another minimalist bullet journalist that I like for you to check out is Dee, who has provided so many tips and tricks on her site that are just so helpful and worthy of our attention. It is incredibly intriguing how she makes each spread look so simple yet complicated at the same time. Honestly, just a scroll through her Instagram and her blog, you will see how creative she gets on making her system look so neat and straightforward yet so organized. • PrettyPrintsandPaper.com – Going to a more creative system, Jess comes out with her own unique twist on her bullet journal. I think her style borderlines minimalism with a little bit of artistry with calligraphy. The good thing about her blog is that she has video accompaniment posted on her blog, making her posts entertaining and engaging to watch. • BohoBerry.com – Now, let’s talk about total creativity! I first stumble upon Kara on her Youtube channel way back a few years ago when my planner addiction was pumped back to life. Her videos are informative and feature creative ways to jazz up a planner as well as inspiring means to improve the bullet journal into a more personalized system. Her blog comes in handy as well if you want help with descriptive words and admire lovely bullet journal photos while in a moment of writer’s block.  www.bohoberry.com
