Official 4th of July as a naturalized American cit Official 4th of July as a naturalized American citizen. 🇵🇭🇺🇲 .. .. But doing it as an introvert, avoiding huge crowds and settling on my cottagecore era. .. .. Still feels surreal to say it. Sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve this. I still recall those moments when my family would travel here. I would imagine myself living in this land, owning a home, and dwelling like I've lived here all my life. But it never occurred to me that I would marry someone who would make all those visions come true. I guess it's safe to say two is better than one in achieving some dreams. 🥰 .. .. Another life milestone accomplished.I was sitti Another life milestone accomplished.I was sitting there at the room looking like a ball of nerves for the civics and English exam, and when it was done, I thought it's gonna be another few months of waiting for the result. But as it turned out, they piled everyone who passed, including me, and let us through the oath taking ceremony this same day.Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. For someone who's gotten used to waiting, that was a change. Thankful for all the prayers of family and friends. And for the awesome support the hubz has given me. No more filing for repetitive paperwork, last-minute checks, waiting for months or years for results, and no more late night reviewing for history exam. I should say we did it! Now, on to filing passport and booking trips.. 😁😁😁😁And for those who are still going through this same process, I pray for you. I know the feeling. I was literally tearing up when the ceremony was just wrapping up because it hasn't dawned on me yet how this could be possible. You, too, can pass. 🥰Here's to officially being a Fiilpino-American.. 🥰 To God be glory, who makes all things possible.
