9 Quality Blog Prompts to Kickstart Blogging Every Year

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably kind of drained after all the holidays that just happened. Your brain might still be in vacation mode, and blogging seems to be still out of your mind.

Well, after doing a lot of scrubbing online, I found some incredible blog post prompts that will help each of us get a good start in blogging every year when we feel the slump and writing block. Say goodbye to vacation hangovers because these prompts will definitely get the ball rolling for you.

Start with a Life Update this month.

If you can’t think of anything to post after all the time-off that just you’ve had, start the blog this year with a ‘Life Update’. Just like what I did in my previous post. You can give a recap of what’s happened to you the past year, and what you intend to do this coming year. Your goals and life plans can be included. Your audience will definitely thank you for updating them on your life so far, and for giving them something to expect from you this coming year.

Give them More. Give them your 5-year Plan.

If you want to take it a step further, in your next blog post, update your audience with your 5-year plan, your life, your blog, and any activities related to your niche. This way, your audience will have a glimpse of your aspirations, and for you to have a clearer path to take over the next few years.

Share a Great Article or Topic that Encouraged you in the Past Days.

You scroll through Facebook day to day. You practically go through your Instagram feed daily all throughout your vacation. And most likely than not, you stumble upon a quote or article that tickle your brain even for an hour or something that encouraged you to get up and get moving. Look back to that moment. Think of how it inspired you. There’s a high possibility that someone else might be interested in that same topic, so why not share it?

If you’re into a specific niche, why not share some Industry Terminology that might seem jargon to others?

This is your chance to show off your knowledge in your chosen niche. Share some industry-specific words that others might think too deeply to understand. If you’re into travel blogging, what are the terms that you find that are really fascinating to you? If you’re into health and wellness blogging, there are more words that others might not know about. If you’re into fashion and makeup blogging, I’m sure there’s more to it than the color of your dress and the name of your mascara. Go share. Someone might find it useful.

If there’s a ‘How-to’ post, there’s a ‘How-Not-To’ post,  as well.

That’s self-explanatory. How-tos is a go-to topic that can easily be relatable to a specific person in a specific niche. In another way, ‘How-Not-Tos’ is a good one to start off by warning your audience about what not to do and how not to make mistakes you probably might have done in the past. Take a look at this example: How Not To Get Bored In A Staycation.

Give Some Tips and Tricks or Lessons You’ve learned about your Chosen Industry.

You have your chosen niche, and you’re good at it. Why not share some tips and tricks you’ve learned along the way as you grow in your chosen field? Or better yet, share some valuable insight for those individuals who might just be starting on the journey? You don’t know who might be helped.

Write up a Good Homage to the Person You really Look Up To – Your Industry Role Model.

We all have the distinctive role model in our line of industry that we really look up to. We want to be like them in one way or another. We respect their personality and what they offer, and we just want to praise them more than they really want to. So why not do a little write-up about them and share it with the world?

Share Reviews of Certain Product You’ve Tried, A Book You’ve Read, or Events You’ve Attended.

Clearly, if you start doing reviews, you’ll never run out of things to talk about. People need your opinion. I need your opinion on certain things. And overall, our views contribute to the greater good of other people. So don’t be shy about sharing your thoughts.

Last, but not least, Create a List.

Enough said. A list of things you Loved last Year. A list of Gadgets You want to Purchase this Year. A list of places you want to visit within the Year. Make your own and share it.

Conclusion

There are endless topics in the world to create your content. I hope this simple set of prompts can help kickstart your writing blogging engine and get you writing in no time. Personally, this set always does the trick for me. Keep blogging and creating content!
