2015 was an extremely roller coaster ride not only for me, but also for my family.
Family-wise, business-wise, personal-wise, I guess I’ve had it all in this year. There were happy moments and there were sad moments, but through it all, I’ve seen God’s Hand working in everything.
2015 greeted us with a little problem that we never thought could affect our family so much. My little nephew was so sick, in and out of the hospital for months. We didn’t know that a few days short of his birthday God will take him home to be Him – and taught us a lesson that God meant everything for good. My little nephew’s passing, became a blessing to many people and especially for me. It is so true indeed that we never could know what the future holds.
2015 was the year that I got a special tiny something from someone special that was dreamt to be given a long time ago. When I received it, I was ecstatic and speechless for I’ve never been treated so special before by anyone else other than my parents. However, 2015 was also the year that I’ve realized I was holding on to a wrong hope all along. Somewhere along the road, God showed me that feelings can never be trusted and that all hope and trust must be on Him alone. Material things, emotions, and even special someone could never fill the void inside me except through Him alone. Once again, it was indeed the miraculous working of my God that helped me to let go of those false hope and fears and let Him take hold of my entire life.
2015 was also a roller coaster ride of emotion and messed up focus on my career and business. I’ve learned alot, business-wise, and all of the mistakes I’ve done could never replace all the learnings that have me who I am today. Somehow, those mistakes fulfilled my dream of becoming a better person than I was before. I’ve also noticed how God never forsaken me in terms of my financial needs. He provided exactly how much I needed and showed me that all the increases that I’ve had only comes from Him.
2015 was also the year that God allowed me to be used for Him to share blessings of hope and encourage to a tiny publication called ‘AVPI Times’. For some reasons, I was being bothered to have this accomplished. I don’t know what impact it have on other people’s life, but knowing that I’ve helped share the Gospel and simple encouragement to people who might need them is enough to give me that satisfaction in life that I’ve finally accomplished something substantial. Regardless of any material accomplishements I’ve had, this one means so much more to me. And I will not exchange that feeling for anything else.
This will be the theme of my year:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phil4:8
